Pennies for Patients
The Leadership Class partnered with Hollingers Island Elementary School February 17-20 to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients Drive.
National Signing Day

FLIP
The Freshman Leadership Introduction Program (FLIP) took place on January 28. Freshmen students were introduced to the Theodore Leadership Program, participated in leadership activities, and completed a service project.
Group Service Projects
Leadership students worked in groups to carry out a variety of service projects this semester:

Impact Leadership Conference
Ms. Miller attended the Impact Leadership Conference on December 4 where she learned from leaders like John Maxwell.
Theodore Escape Room
The Leadership Classes organized a Red Ribbon Week Escape Room. Teachers brought their classes to solve a series of puzzles that also shared important information about drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances.
Haskew Elementary Visit
Leadership students visited Haskew Elementary School on October 29 to host a Red Ribbon Week Escape Room activity for students.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Kick-Off Event
The 2019-2020 class of Chick-fil-A Leader Academy kicked off their year on September 24 with a service project, leader lab, and lunch from our sponsor Glenn Rosson.
Veterans Home Visit
Leadership students visited with veterans at the William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette on September 12.
September 11 Military Appreciation
Leadership students spent time with members of our U.S. Armed Forces to who appreciation for their service.
Think Pink Day
Leadership students sponsored Think Pink Day with a variety of activities throughout the day to spread kindness around the school as part of Love Week 2019 during the week of September 9-13.
Maji Hope Fundraiser
Leadership students raised $1,145 for the non-profit organization Maji Hope that builds clean water wells in Africa.
Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Graduation
Students in Theodore's first Chick-fil-A Leader Academy class were recognized at a ceremony on May 1.
Impact Project
Chick-fil-A Leader Academy students completed their Impact Project by volunteering at three different locations on April 9: L'Arche, Waterfront Rescue Mission, and Light of the Village.

2019 Theodore Leadership Conference
Over 500 students from 15 different schools attended the 2019 Theodore Leadership Conference.
FLIP
Leadership 2 students hosted the Freshman Leadership Introduction Program (FLIP) on November 29. 40 freshman students learned leadership lessons, participated in games and activities, completed a service project, and were introduced to Theodore's leadership program.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy students partnered with our local sponsor to assist with a Christmas party for children at Light of the Village.
Red Ribbon Week 2018
Leadership students planned and organized a week of events called "Kindness Counts" to encourage students to be kind to themselves and others by making positive choices. Activities included:
- Daily announcements highlighting choices to be kind to the mind, body, heart, and soul
- The Kindness Challenge that prompted students to complete up to ten acts of kindness during the week
- A Red Ribbon Week pledge table and obstacle course during lunch waves
- A campaign to register students as donors on the Alabama Organ Center database
- A Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit fundraiser for cancer patient Maddy Franklin
Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Kickoff
Leadership students participating in the 2018-2019 class of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy took part in the Kickoff Experience on September 28. Lunch was sponsored by our local Chick-fil-A operator Glenn Rosson. Student heard from Mr. Rosson, learned about plans for the upcoming year, and took part in a service project to make goodie bags for U.S. troops serving overseas.

Honoring Aubreigh
Leadership joined other Theodore students in wearing yellow on August 17 to honor Aubreigh Nicholas who passed away after fighting bravely with DIPG brain cancer.

Theodore Leadership was featured on NBC 15's Cool Schools segment on April 18.
Special Olympics
Leadership students served as chaperones for Theodore's Special Olympics athletes on April 13.
Lemon Face Challenge
Leadership students took part in the Lemon Face Challenge on March 30 to raise awareness for DIPG and show support for Aubreigh Nicholas.
Parkland Ceremony
Leadership students took part in a ceremony on March 14 to release balloons to honor the victims of the shooting at Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Hustle Leadership Conference
The Theodore Leadership Conference took place on March 5 and welcomed more than 400 students and teachers from 11 local high schools. Students were inspired and equipped to hustle with health, hunger, heart, and humility from guests speakers Jeff Roberts and Natalie LaBorde and from the more than 30 non-profit organizations at the Community Expo.
End It Campaign
Leadership students joined the End It Movement's Shine a Light on Slavery day on February 22 to raise awareness about the 27 million people trapped in modern day slavery and human trafficking.

Red Ribbon Week
Leadership students organized Red Ribbon Week October 30 - November 3 with the theme "Trick or Treat". Activities included:
- Spooky Sayings - Morning announcements and flyers around school encouraged students to stay away from life's "tricks" and to embrace life's "treats".
- Halloween for Hope - Students purchased a wristband to be able wear a Halloween costume. All proceeds went to the Mission of Hope, a drug recovery home for men and women in Mobile County.
- Day of the Dead - The Grim Reaper visited classes and painted students faces to to signify that someone dies from a drug overdose every 19 minutes.
- Treat for a Cause - Students purchased Chick-fil-a biscuits to raise money for Aubreigh's Army.
- Zombie Course - Students completed an obstacle course during lunch waves with goggles that simulate the visual impairment caused by alcohol and drugs.
- Class Candy Competition - 1st block teachers competed in a quiz show based on Red Ribbon Week announcements to win a giant bag of candy.
- Behind the Mask - Teachers gave a "Caught Doing Good" wristband to students who represent good character at all times.
Ur Keys 2 Drive Event
Leadership students attended the Ur Keys 2 Drv Event in Daphne and heard from Mike Lutzenkirchen with the Lutzie 43 Foundation.
Hope for Honduras
Leadership students partnered with Hope for Honduras to pack shoeboxes of gifts that will delivered to children for Christmas.
A21 Walk for Freedom

Leadership students supported Bully Prevention Week by wearing their Bullying Ends with Me t-shirts.

Love Week
Leadership students organized Love Week September 11-15 to spread love throughout our school and community. A few highlights included:
- Holding a moment of silence to remember the victims of September 11, 2001
- Writing letters to troops serving overseas
- Delivering treats to local firefighters and police officers
- Writing thank you cards to Theodore Teachers
- Covering the school with inspirational messages on Love Everywhere Day
- Spreading generosity on Random Acts of Kindness Day
Help Texas
Leadership students organized a school wide effort to collect supplies for Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas. Those items were delivered to The Grounds and will be delivered to Texas by the Mobile Jaycees.
