THEODORE HIGH SCHOOL
hustle
verb hus·tle \ ˈhə-səl \
to act or work effectively with energetic activity
Teenagers are often lumped into two categories.
Category 1: Teenagers are too lazy. They are unmotivated and undisciplined. They need to get off the couch and put down the iPhone.
Category 2: Teenagers are too busy. They are overwhelmed and overstressed. They need to get some sleep and enjoy life.
Both extremes carry dangers, and neither are ideal. There has to be a better way for students to live and lead in today’s fast paced world. There has to be a way for students to hustle.
The Theodore Leadership Conference is a half-day event designed to ignite enthusiasm and inspire action in high school leaders. Through mediums such as music, film, games, and the spoken word, students will be challenged to hustle with health, hunger, heart, and humility.
We invite you to join us for the Theodore Leadership Conference on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Speakers
Natalie LaBorde currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Policy, Regulation, and Research Division within the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. During the 2017 legislative session, Natalie co-led the Department's efforts to pass what is now known as Louisiana's most comprehensive criminal justice reform package in the state's history. Prior to her service at Corrections, Natalie served in the Office of Governor Bobby Jindal from 2010 to 2015 in various roles, including: Deputy Chief of Staff; Policy Director; Public Safety, Criminal Justice, and Legal Policy Advisor; and Assistant Executive Counsel to the Governor.
Natalie, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, moved to Baton Rouge to earn her B.A. from Louisiana State University, then a Juris Doctor degree from LSU Law Center. Prior to attending law school, Natalie lived in Sydney, Australia where she served as an Operational Manager for The A21 Campaign, an international anti-trafficking organization that provides safe houses and rehabilitative services in thirteen countries worldwide. While in law school, she co-founded the LSU student organization Tigers Against Trafficking, which still raises awareness about human trafficking in the Baton Rouge community today. She is an active member of the Louisiana Correctional Association, as well as a member of the Louisiana State Bar and licensed to practice in Louisiana.

Jeff Roberts has spent years in the digital space, from running the e-commerce division at Integrity Media to executing digital marketing campaigns for companies, notably the revamp of the Mobile County Public School System’s “It Starts With Us” campaign. His love for business and people mixed with his love for innovation drew him to try something different, a coffee truck. Armed with a degree in entrepreneurship, a digital marketing background, an understanding of sales, and five years of student ministry and energetic communication, he felt ready for the challenge. In 2016 Jeff founded Yellowhammer Coffee with his wife Monique. Jeff loves to engage with people where they are at, add value to them, and help in any way possible. When he is not on the coffee truck, you can find him getting beat up by one of his three kids: Levi, Judah, and Joy.
